Step 1
Set up your workspace with your paper and pencil and sit comfortably so you can draw easily.

Lightly draw a medium oval near the top center of the paper for the beagle’s head and make it about half the size of the body you will draw.

Lightly draw a larger oval just below and slightly overlapping the head for the beagle’s body.

Lightly draw a vertical guideline through the head and body to help you place the face and legs evenly.

Draw two long floppy ear shapes attached to each side of the head so they hang down beside the face.

Draw two small circles for the eyes on either side of the center guideline about halfway down the head.

Draw a rounded triangle nose at the bottom center of the head.

Draw a short curved line under the nose for the muzzle and add a small curved line below it for a smiling mouth.

Draw two front legs under the body as slightly tapered rectangles and add small oval paws at the ends.
