Help!?

If I don't have chocolate chips or a candy mold, what can I use instead?

You can substitute chopped baking chocolate or candy melts for the chocolate chips and use a clean silicone ice cube tray or a small muffin tin as the 'mold' when you 'Spoon the melted chocolate into each mold cavity'.

My chocolate shells keep cracking or won't pop out of the mold—what should I do?

Be sure the shells are fully firm by chilling in the fridge or freezer for the full 10 minutes, spread the melted chocolate thicker up the sides when you 'Spoon the melted chocolate into each mold cavity', and recoat the rims with the extra melted chocolate 'to use as glue for sealing' if they crack.

How can I adapt this activity for a 4-year-old versus a 12-year-old?

For a 4-year-old, let them wash hands, add the 'teaspoon of hot cocoa mix and a few mini marshmallows' into pre-made halves and press halves together while an adult handles melting and heating milk, whereas a 12-year-old can help melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, spoon shells, and heat the milk with supervision.

Any fun ways to make my chocolate bombs fancier or more personal?

Before sealing, sprinkle in crushed peppermint, colored sprinkles, or a pinch of cinnamon with the hot cocoa and marshmallows, or drizzle contrasting melted chocolate over the chilled sealed bomb and then 'Share your finished chocolate bomb creation on DIY.org'.
