History And Origin

The Udmurts have lived in their homeland for many centuries! They are descendants of ancient tribes that lived around the Kama River. 🏞️ The name "Udmurt" is believed to come from the word "Udmurt," meaning “the people who live with the river”. This strong connection to water and nature is very important to them! They have a history filled with stories about battles, farming, and being stewards of the land for generations. 🌾
