History Of Jerusalem
It was first mentioned in ancient texts around 1000 BCE when King David made it the capital of Israel. Later, his son Solomon built the First Temple there, which was very important for Jewish worship. In 586 BCE, the Babylonians destroyed the First Temple and took many people away. They rebuilt it in 516 BCE, but then it was destroyed again in 70 CE by the Romans. Over time, Jerusalem has been controlled by different empires, including the Byzantines, Ottomans, and British! ⏳
