Go deeper⭐ The Drake Equation
The Drake Equation is a formula Drake created in 1961. It helps scientists calculate how many civilizations might be able to talk to us in the Milky Way galaxy! ⭐The equation includes factors like the number of stars, how many have planets, and how many planets could support life. It is represented as: N = R* × fp × ne × fl × fi × fc × L. Each letter stands for something important, allowing scientists to guess about life in outer space. By using science and math, the equation makes the search for aliens even more exciting! 🌌
Go deeper⭐ Early Life And Education
As a child, Frank loved to look at the stars! ⭐He studied hard in school and went on to get a degree in Physics from Cornell University in 1952. After that, he studied astronomy and got his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1955. During his studies, he built special devices to detect radio waves that stars and planets emit. 📡Frank was very curious about the universe, and that curiosity helped him become a great scientist!
