Anker's Story

Anker began in 2011 when a smart inventor named Steven Yang started the company in Shenzhen, China. At first, they made replacement batteries for laptop computers. But soon, they saw that people needed better ways to charge their smartphones.

So, Anker switched to creating chargers, power banks, and wall plugs. In 2014, they hired a talented leader named Zhao Dongping, who had worked at Google. He helped the company grow even more. Later, they moved their main office to Changsha, Hunan province.

By 2020, Zhao became the president, guiding Anker to make more innovative products that people love worldwide.

Anker Around The World

Anker isn't just in China anymore! They have set up special branches, called subsidiaries, in places like Japan, Singapore, the United States, and the United Kingdom. This helps them reach customers everywhere.

You can find Anker products in big stores such as Best Buy, Target, and Kohl's. Online, they're on popular sites like Amazon, eBay, and Shopee. At first, they sold mostly through Amazon and Newegg, but now they're in many shops.

This global reach means kids in different countries can enjoy Anker's reliable chargers and gadgets, no matter where they live.

Anker's Power Products

Anker is famous for its awesome power products that keep devices charged fast and safely. In 2018, they began using special GaN technology. GaN, which stands for gallium nitride, makes chargers smaller and more efficient, so they don't get too hot.

They created lines like Anker Prime for high-power needs, Anker Nano for tiny, travel-friendly chargers, and Anker Zolo for everyday use. These have multiple ports to charge phones, tablets, and more at once.

In 2023, Anker launched the SOLIX brand for home energy, like portable power stations and solar helpers, making clean power easy for families.

Eufy Smart Home

eufy is Anker's brand for smart home gadgets, started in 2016. These help make your house smarter and safer. For example, robotic vacuums zoom around cleaning floors on their own. Home security cameras watch your doors and send pictures to your phone. There are also smart lights that you control with an app.

Later, eufy tried 3D printing, like making toys or tools from plastic. They made printers called M5 and M5C. But in 2025, they stopped that and switched to eufyMake for special UV printers that print on flat things like signs. You can still buy plastic for 3D printing on their site. eufy keeps finding new ways to help homes!

Soundcore Audio

soundcore is Anker's fun audio brand, launched in 2018. It makes cool sounds for your ears and adventures. Think Bluetooth earbuds that stick in your ears without wires, headphones for movies, and portable speakers for picnics.

soundcore started after Anker's first wireless headphones did well in 2014. Popular ones include Liberty Air 2 Pro with noise-canceling to block out sounds, and Liberty 3 Pro from 2021. In 2025, they added Nebula projectors for big-screen fun at home. Their first is the soundcore Nebula X1 Pro. Blast your favorite tunes anywhere!

Challenges

Even great companies like Anker face problems. In 2022, eufy promised to keep security camera videos safe on your own devices only. But experts found some videos went to the cloud—a big online storage—without telling people. This upset fans, and some dropped Anker support.

Also, since 2023, Anker recalled power banks because batteries could overheat and catch fire. In 2025, five PowerCore models were called back after reports of incidents. Almost half a million were affected. Anker works to fix these issues and keep products safe.
